Times of Turmoil

It's hard to focus on my work when the world seems a dark and scary place, overshadowed by the terror and tyranny of war, right on the heels of a devastating pandemic that already shocked and crippled societies and economies across the globe, and has taken such a toll on us all in the past two years..

Yet, it is also my work that helps to keep me sane and grounded amidst all uncertainty and chaos. Creating little critters soothes and distracts my worried mind, and reminds me that simple things are often the greatest comforts in life.
So I've tried to keep myself busy rounding up tiny street cats and other Strays for Big Eyes in Amsterdam, where they will be looking for their forever family. Over the next two weeks leading up to the event I will share some little faces on my Instagram - and hopefully they will bring a smile to your face, too 💕

Zolala! Blog

Mostly musings and meanderings about my work as a seamstress and miniaturist, with all of the joy and struggle that comes with it.

Hello!

My name is Zo, and I'm endlessly fascinated with all things small: dolls, animals, miniatures, dioramas..
I feel very fortunate to be able to combine them all in my work!
Sewing doll clothes and bringing little critters to life allows me to do what I love every day - and connects me with some really amazing people all over the world.
