Our charming red fox Saffron is most proud to be "Vagabond Strays" member no. 200! πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‚ 🍾πŸ₯‚
The girls and I are waiting backstage with a huge cake to celebrate all the Strays that passed through our little shelter, and we will raise a toast to the joy they now spread across the world.
And "Thank You" - two very small words to express my deepest gratitude for the oodles of love the "Vagabond Strays" receive. It's overwhelming and beyond wonderful how quickly the Strays find a new home once they become available to adopt - and I hope that many more of my little lost ones will find their way to a warm place of their own. I will keep doing my very best to assist as many of them as possible! πŸ’•
That said, some recent issues make me repost the following - something I shared previously, but this time with some additions:

- Unfortunately, I can not take commissions or reservations for the Strays. Not even when you offer me twice the price, not even when you get angry with me.
There are simply too many people asking, and the wait time would be unbearable. As little as they are, each Stray takes many hours to complete, I can't rush or take shortcuts. And by taking orders I would continuously be making the same Strays over and over, with no time left to dream up new ones, or to prepare a collection for the shop and for upcoming conventions.
This would take all the joy out of the creative process for me, so I hope you understand why I made this decision.
The Strays come as they are, when they are ready 😊

- Auction sales: I've been repeatedly asked to do these - but that would mean that money dictates who can adopt a Stray. I don't find that fair: by offering them in the shop or at a convention, for a fixed price, everyone gets a chance to adopt one.

- When you are disappointed and upset after missing out on a Stray at a shop update, please don't take your anger out on me in the comments and/or in private messages. I do know and understand that it is frustrating, and I'm truly sorry. But a rude attitude towards me will not get you anywhere.

- I do take note of any wishes and suggestions for next Strays. With each shop update or at a convention I try to present a varied bunch of them: a good mixture of new and familiar faces, hoping that several of you will be able to catch their favorite this time. So I will continue to offer 'repeats', and I will continue to surprise 😁

Thanks for reading and understanding. Our next Adoption Day is scheduled for early September, with pretty Saffron and 9 other Strays that will be introduced on my Instagram in the upcoming weeks!

Mostly musings and meanderings about my work as a seamstress and miniaturist, with all of the joy and struggle that comes with it.

Hello!

My name is Zo, and I'm endlessly fascinated with all things small: dolls, animals, miniatures, dioramas..
I feel very fortunate to be able to combine them all in my work!
Sewing doll clothes and bringing little critters to life allows me to do what I love every day - and connects me with some really amazing people all over the world.
